Once in a tiny house far away from everyone, there lived a tired mama and her energetic son.
Away from people and their places, the mama did her best to steer her son toward behaviors that didn't fail her test.
But there arose a problem, one she never thought she’d find: every time she sounded stern, her words came out in rhyme!
“Please keep those feet from kicking my seat!” she’d say in her sternest scowl. “Ok, Mama, but did you hear what you said, you rhymed again,” he howled.
I’ve told you a million times before not to leave your dirty clothes on the floor! And I heard that sassing as I was passing. You’d best respect your mother more!
But then one day, after a stream of rhymes, the tired mother sighed, and she waved the white flag and hugged her son and they laughed until they cried.
“I think my words have taught me a lesson, one I didn’t quite expect, that no matter what mistakes your loved ones make, it’s more important to connect.”
